Episode Five: End of the New World

Manifest: A Shattered Future                Episode Five: End of the New World                  “Don’t know if I like this. I can’t help but feel like I’m running away,” Romulo muttered.                Elena nodded, but she did not immediately reply; she instead fought to catch her breath as they slowly jogged through the interlocking streets. Her pegleg squealed with every step, and her leg bled slightly in the place where it bonded to her prosthetic. Romulo recognized her struggle and slowed his pace, but Elena pushed herself forward with all her strength. A faint drizzle fell from the overcast sky and shimmered in the daylight. Tales of a Wanderer: March 3rd, 3328

Journal Entry: March 3rd, 3328 The first time I stepped through her portal, it delivered me to a world of shallow water. Before I left, Zenara warned me that she could not control the destination; she did not know the world into which I would wander. The problem is, the tunic she gave me is no ordinary piece of fabr...

The Dawn of Destruction Interitus 1 – Book One             Chapter Six               “Kenny was there! He watched our city’s nameless hero take out the two miscreants of the massacre! He told me that our savior is a tall white guy with an expertise in explosives. That’s why they can’t find the other gunman; he was blown to smithereens!” Janet told her friends.              The group exchanged uneasy glances as they heard her story, but this was almost always the case; they still loved hearing Janet’s tales regardless of their authenticity. Besides, there was not much else to do while waiting at the train station outside the city in the middle of the night. They patiently awaited the first arrival of the Solar Rail to their region, and as a g...
