Interitus: Manifest Image Usage Statement

When we first began Interitus: Manifest as a game between friends, we used images which were AI-enhanced or AI-generated and then very heavily photoshopped. This helped us playtest the cards and gauge their power levels, and make changes as necessary (such as removing an overpowered card altogether). These placeholders were eventually replaced with human-made art on every Sorcerer and many spells as well. But since our team consists of people with full-time jobs, we simply cannot replace these images on every spell card. We drew as much as we could, but art is a very lengthy process. Eliminating the spells with placeholder art would greatly detriment the playability of the game's format.

While we hope to transition these images to human-made artwork in time, financial constraints have prevented commissions. As per our mission statement, we are committed to providing an exciting game to customers for an affordable price. We do not currently have the funds to replace these images without increasing the cost. Our hope is that down the line, we can use a portion of our profits to commission artwork of future cards (or future printings of old cards). We are already in talks with some artists; we simply need to build funds in order to achieve that.
